City of Marion issued the following announcement on Apr. 15.

Phase 1 of the Joseph McDowell Historical Catawba River Greenway, from the Sam Phillips Drive parking area to Little Round Hill, has reopened to the public. Phase 2 of the Greenway, from Little Round Hill to the parking area behind the McDowell House, will remain closed for the public’s safety while crews complete trail realignment and resurfacing work.
