City of Shelby issued the following announcement on Dec. 18. 

Christmas Holiday
Garbage Collection and City Closings

All City offices will be closed on
Friday, December 24th and
Monday, December 27th
Monday’s Route will be a day late
 Please set your cart on the curbside prior to 7am on the date scheduled on the chart below.

Date Day Route will be collected on:
December 27       Monday All City Offices will be closed (Monday Route will be collected a day late)
December 28 Tuesday Monday Route & Tuesday Route will be picked up
December 29  Wednesday Wednesday Route will be picked up on regular schedule
December 30 Thursday Thursday Route and Uptown Businesses will be picked up on regular schedule
December 31 Friday All City Offices will be closed for New Year’s Holiday
