0Comments

City of Shelby issued the following announcement on July 18.

A contractor for the City of Shelby will be milling and paving Piedmont Avenue, Hobbs Avenue, Webb Drive, and Atlantic Avenue during the dates of Wednesday July 27 – Tuesday August 2, 2022.

There will be no on-street parking in this area until resurfacing is completed.

You should expect temporary lane closures in the work area during this time.

This work begins Phase 1 of street resurfacing using bond funds approved by citizens during last November’s election.

The bond sets aside $10 million dollars to fund additional street resurfacing and sidewalk projects.

This phase of street resurfacing will repave 17.8 miles of City streets using bond funding.
