2022 GLOCK Professional, Inc., a global leader in firearms training and family-friendly sport shooting competitions and Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County, are proud to announce that the Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County, Cherryville, NC, will be the host of the inaugural 2022 Foothills GSSF Match, to be held on November 19-20, 2022.

“We are excited to welcome the GSSF Match and attendees to our community. With expected participation of 700+ people, a sporting event like this typically provides positive economic impacts through lodging, dining and shopping. In addition, it introduces people to our community where they can discover more about the area and be inspired to return again”, said Emily Epley, Cleveland County Tourism Director.

The Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County is one of the largest public outdoor shooting complexes in the Southeastern United States! In operation since 2016, Foothills Public Shooting Complex of Cleveland County is a safe, modern and unique facility for multiple shooting sports and premiere location for GSSF!

“When the Foothills Public Shooting Complex opened in 2016, it was our goal to host national shooting matches” said Commissioner Johnny Hutchins. “With the hiring of Range Director Sandra Orvig and expansions made to the facility, we are now able to achieve that goal. Cleveland County is excited to partner with Glock Professional and welcomes the opportunity to host shooters from around the nation here”.

The GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) is a safe, fun, family-oriented organization devoted to the responsible use of GLOCK firearms and encouraging participation in shooting sports. Competitions across the United States provide opportunities for shooters of all skill levels and experience to compete together in simple, but challenging courses of fire. GSSF does not require the expensive equipment and extensive training that most other firearms competitions do. For more information, please visit gssfonline.com.
