City of Mcdowell issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.
Beginning Monday, you can vote for our Christmas tree at the Miller Business Complex, all for a great cause!
To Vote for our tree, all you need to do is bring an unwrapped toy and place it under our tree.
All toys go to help families for Project Christmas in McDowell County. The Tree with the most toys donated will receive the prize money and will go towards the charity of their choice.
This year the Charity we chose is the “Live Like Megan Foundation”. The “Live Like Megan Foundation” provides hope, education and opportunity for children with life altering circumstances to get outdoors and enjoy life as a direct result of Megan’s passion for the outdoors by providing hunting and fishing trips to our Live Like Megan families.
