County of Polk issued the following announcement on Mar. 21.

Request For Qualifications  Architectural and Engineering Services Polk County 911 Communications Center Renovation

Bids will be received March 23 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2022. For more information on the project please click here.

A. Polk County will receive qualifications from Architectural and Engineering firms for the demolition and renovation of the space that housed the now de-commissioned Polk County jail and administrative offices, and the design of this area for the Polk County 911 Communications Center 

B. Interested and qualified firms shall submit their questions to:

C. Proposing firms may conduct a site visit.

D. An authorized representative of Polk County will receive qualifications until 4:00 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday, April 22, 2022. 

Qualifications received after this date and time will not be accepted.

 E. Qualifications shall be enclosed in envelopes that clearly indicate “Qualifications for Architectural and Engineering Services.”

 F. Firms will be required to meet qualifications set out in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document, which include the following: 

• Experience designing and renovating 911 facilities 

• Errors and Omissions Insurance

 • Ability to provide experienced staff
