COUNTY OF RUTHERFORD: Did You Know Habitat Provides Critical Home Repairs For Low-Income Veterans Through Our Hammering For Heroes Program?

County of Rutherford issued the following announcement on Apr. 11.

The goal of the Hammering for Heroes project is to provide a service to those men and women from Rutherford County who served our country and who need a helping hand due to financial hardship and, as a result, may find themselves unable to maintain or make critical repairs to their homes.

What Repair Services are Provided?

Lack of heat, wall or floor repair, electrical or plumbing hazards, ramps and other accessibility needs, exterior work to maintain the home, and interior work to maintain the home.
