County of Rutherford issued the following announcement on Apr. 7.

Position Available-Rutherford County has a part-time scale operator position for the Solid Waste department. Duties include answering telephones, waiting on customers, accepting payments and other duties as assigned.  Must learn landfill policies, billing, posting payments, and be able to offer great customer service. Responsibilities include learning and operating the waste works system on the computer. Requires tact, judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to deal with the general public. Needs to be a self-motivated individual that can work in a fast paced environment. Min requirements:  high school diploma and a valid drivers license. $10.38 per hour. Hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1:30pm-4:30 pm and three Saturday’s a pay period from 7:30am to 12:30pm.
