On Saturday, March 14, the Fayetteville State Broncos, which includes former Kings Mountain High School standout Ezekiel Cannedy, were defeated 96-83 by the California Vulcans in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The contest was held at Hagerty Family Events Center at 7:30 p.m. and marked the first tournament meeting against the California Vulcans for Fayetteville State.
