North Carolina state Rep. Kelly Hastings, R-Gaston
Veteran North Carolina lawmaker Rep. Kelly Hastings, R-Gaston, has a new title.
The North Carolina Chamber of Commerce has tabbed Hastings as one of its 2019 Jobs Champions in its annual “How They Vote" report.
“Grateful to be named a Jobs Champion by the North Carolina Chamber,” Hastings posted on Facebook. “Grades are based on our voting records. Without focusing on my individual grade, I am thankful to be a member of a team that makes economic security a top priority."
On behalf of the statewide business community, the Chamber makes selections based on voting records and other activities thought to display a firm commitment to a pro-growth agenda that strengthens the economy.
“Spanning the political spectrum, these Jobs Champions understand the need to strengthen our business climate, improve our education and talent supply system, invest in our infrastructure, and tackle other issues important to our business community,” the NC Chamber posted on its website.
