Cleveland County recently issued the following announcement.

CLEVELAND COUNTY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

The Cleveland County Board of Commissioners welcomes citizens’ willingness to participate in local government, and is seeking applications from interested persons for the following advisory board openings:

  • Adult Home Care Advisory Committee
  • Agricultural Advisory Board
  • Board of Adjustment
  • Board of Health
  • Cleveland County Memorial Library Board
  • City of Shelby Zoning Board of Adjustment (ETJ)
  • Commission for Women
  • Community Care Block Grant Advisory Board
  • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council
  • Nursing Home Advisory Board
  • Planning Board
All applicants must be residents of Cleveland County; applications will remain active for two years after submittal. Certain seats of boards require specific representation as specified by state or local policy.

Prior to being appointed to a board or committee, all interested applicants are required to complete the on-line application and Cleveland County Board On-line Training orientation.
