City of Shelby issued the following announcement on Nov. 11.
The City of Shelby will be replacing a hydrant in the 800 block of E Graham Street (between Beaumonde Ave and the end of E Graham Street) on Thursday, November 18; weather permitting. Interruptions in water service will occur between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. Expect personnel, vehicles, and equipment along the roadway during this time. Residents are encouraged to check for possible water discoloration prior to use. If water is discolored, it can usually be remedied by running a cold water tap for 4-5 minutes or until the water clears. Postponing laundry until water is clear (usually no more than one day) is recommended.
