City of Marion issued the following announcement on Nov. 11.
The City of Marion Sanitation Department will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All Residential garbage, recyclables & street trash will be collected TWO (2) days in advance, except in the Eastfield area. For example, if you do not live in the Eastfield area and your regularly scheduled collection day for garbage, recyclables, & street trash is Wednesday, November 24th, your garbage, recyclables, & street trash will be collected on Monday, November 22th. There will be no brush pickup the week of Thanksgiving.
