City of Marion issued the following announcement on July 5.
Walkers that enjoy Marion's Peavine Trail are in for good news. A portion of the Peavine Trail, from Marion Street to Baldwin Avenue, has reopened to the public.
This part of the popular walking trail was closed earlier in the month, because of a washout that occurred on the trail between Marion street and Baldwin Avenue during heavy rains.
Walkers can now safely access all section of the trails.
