CITY OF SHELBY: Leaf Collection Season

City of Shelby issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.

Cooler weather has arrived, and the City of Shelby’s Public Works Department is prepared for a busy leaf collection season.

Leaf collection typically occurs every week, but during Fall and through January it could take 2-3 weeks for leaves to be collected.

It is important to remember to place your leaves on the edge of your lawn, and never place your leaves in the road.

This helps protect stormwater drains from becoming clogged by leaves washing into the City’s stormwater system.  Visit https://www.cityofshelby.com/.../sanit.../compost-yard-waste for more information on leaf collection, or call the Public Works Department at 704-484-6846.
