City of Shelby issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
Shelby has been selected to participate in a pilot program that would designate our community as a certified Music Friendly Community.
The purpose of this program is to identify individuals, groups, and businesses that make up the musical nucleus of our community.
We need your help in identifying the individuals, groups, and businesses from our area that need to be included on the list. These would include:Individual artistsGroups, bands, orchestras, choirs, etc. that perform publiclyMusic producers and publishersRecording studiosRadio stationsMusic instructorsMusic storesDJ’sVenues
