City of Shelby Fire Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
We are finalizing Phase I of the project, and have had overwhelming interest and input from people involved in our local music industry.
We are excited to begin working on Phase II of the project next week!
Help make our community a certified Music Friendly Community!
Shelby has been selected to participate in a pilot program that would designate our community as a certified Music Friendly Community. The purpose of this program is to identify individuals, groups, and businesses that make up the musical nucleus of our community.
We need your help in identifying the individuals, groups, and businesses from our area that need to be included on the list.
These would include:
Individual artists
Groups, bands, orchestras, choirs, etc. that perform publicly
Music producers and publishers
Recording studios
Radio stations
Music instructors
Music stores
DJ’s
Venues
