FOIA Request to Polk County Election Department Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.
In a continued effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Foothills Review have sent a request under the North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. §132-1., to the Polk County Election Department. The request was made for records pertaining to all candidates running in the upcoming spring election.
The specific details requested include each candidate's first, middle, and last name, the office they are running for, their jurisdiction of office, and party affiliation. In addition to these details, we also requested contact information for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.
