Temporary traffic pattern shift scheduled for E. Court Street overnight

The City of Marion announced on Mar. 18 that a temporary traffic pattern shift will take place on E. Court Street as part of ongoing sewer system rehabilitation work. The change is set to begin Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and continue through Friday at 7:00 a.m.

The update is intended to inform residents and motorists about the upcoming changes in traffic flow due to construction activities. The city said the overnight schedule was chosen to reduce disruptions during peak daytime hours while essential improvements are made to the sewer infrastructure.

According to the announcement, “This overnight schedule is intended to minimize impacts to daytime traffic while necessary improvements to the sewer infrastructure are completed.”

Officials also expressed appreciation for public cooperation during this period, stating, “We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is carried out.”
