City of Shelby issued the following announcement on Dec. 14.
Please be aware of temporary road closures this Sunday, December 18, due to the Shelby Christmas Parade.
See important information below and visit https://www.cityofshelby.com/.../in-the.../-fsiteid-1... to view maps of the staging area and the parade route.
Staging area is usually shut down around 1 pm and does not reopen until the area is cleared after the start of the parade.
Parade Route is shut down at 2 pm and does not reopen until the parade is over.
The parade route is opened back up intersection by intersection starting at Sumter Street and ending at Gidney Street.
All Northbound traffic will be detoured to Washington Street.
All South bound traffic will be detoured to Morgan Street.
If you see a barricade, please DO NOT go around them.
Barricades are in place for a specific purpose.
